Be Theme draining Memory & I/O Usage on hosting account

Hi,

After installing the Be Theme I noticed a lag on most pages however specifically on the WP control panel. I logged in to my hosting account and noticed the Memory and I/O Usage were both nearly maxed out.

I then switched between the Be Theme and one of the WordPress default themes and both Memory and I/O Usage counts went down to normal levels.

Currently hosting set up has a max Memory Usage of 512MB and I/O Usage of 1024k/b.

When Be Theme is being used Memory is 446MB and I/O Usage is 813kb. I then get time-out issues and server errors and the CP is unmanageable.

When switching to 2016 Theme Memory is 190MB and I/O Usage is 80kb.

Why is there such a drain and what can I do to reduce this?

Thanks in advance.
