section transparency not working when following a parallax section?

Hello,

I can´t seem to get this right.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Section 1 has a parallax BG image

- Section 2 has a diagonal-top-edge as a transparent PNG image

The bg color is left empty so that Section 2 is transparent except for the PNG image set as background

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In theory when I scroll down, that PNG background of Section 2 should start to overlap Section 1, but instead Section 2 has a solid color behind the transparent PNG although no background color is set for Section 2. I can change that color by using a hexcode in the section settings but I cannot get it to become transparent by leaving it empty....

Am I missing something?

update: the solid color that is always behind my transparent PNG background is the "content background" color in the BeTheme Colorsettings.

So it seems my idea overlapping a parallax section with a transparent PNG in a following section is not possible?

Hi,

it does not work as you expect. The section could be transparent for the main background only which can be set for whole site under Theme options > Global > General section.

Thanks, I think I understood how it works.

(but it also means the thing I wanted to achieve is not possible when two sections overlap)
