to display social icons in header, you need to make sure that Action Bar is enabled (Menu & Action Bar > Action Bar section). Also, make sure the links for social icons were set under Theme options > Social section.
I did that. The action bar is there but the social icons are not showing up. also I can not figure out how to change the action bar background and font colors. I have the action bar background color currently set to white but it is a dark grey almost black color so I cant see the font
@bcurtis From what we see, icons does not show up because you set secondary menu instead of social icons under Appearance > Menus > Manage locations section.
Ok, so I unselected the menu that was at the top and set it back to default. Now the icons are there. So can I have both the social icons and a few webpages on that menu or do I have to chose one or the other. Also I still need to change the colors of the menu and can not
No, you can not have both at the same time. Or you can have secondary menu in that place or social icons. So to change colors in Action Bar, you need to use the following css:
#Action_bar .social li a { color: #FFF !important; } #Action_bar .contact_details li a { color: #FFF !important; }
So the way it looks on my site now are the default colors? That doesnt make any sense because you can barely even see it. If the only way to chance it is with the css please tell me where to put it.
The only way to change these colors is custom css and like any other custom css, need to be put under Theme options > Custom CSS & JS > Custom CSS section.
