I'm working based on one of the Be Theme websites, the "good food" one. The editor for the homepage takes about 40 seconds to load. The normal WordPress part appears quickly, but the Muffin Builder takes forever to load. Is this normal?
no, this is not usual behave. We suggest to start from plugin deactivation but if this won't help, the problem might be related with your hosting itself.
I've checked the server and there's nothing server-wise that is impacting load times, as far as I can see. We use CloudLinux and the site doesn't even get near any of the limits.
Can you try to load the editor for the homepage of http://themes.muffingroup.com/be/goodfood/ and let me know how long it takes for the muffin editor to be active (not just displayed).
I'm using Safari on the Mac. I will try with Firefox just in case.
FWIW I've tested this problem on two different Macs, with different versions of the OS. I've also tested the server, no server-side problems. The javascript for the Muffin builder just takes a very long time to start working, it even causes a "beach ball" on the browser.
Ok, we checked it in Safari on one more computer and there is a little difference (few seconds difference) between Safari and Chrome, Firefox or IE. But from what we see, Safari has a little problem with loading WYSIWYG (Tinymce) editor default WP editor on what you can see on http://pasteboard.co/aR8MEbaft.png and we do not have any impact on it unfortunately. There is no bugs, no errors, no nothing and that's why there is nothing to be fixed on our side.
Plz tell me, what theme version do you use in goodfood? I have troubles with 14.8 and 14.9. And can't install any other old version to test, because themeforest don't have this option)
I'm seeing this issue with the latest version of Be and the latest version of MacOS in Safari. Chrome is a little better but not much. I have all non essential plugins disabled for now. doesn't help.
