Images in Photo Boxes not adopting "alt", "height" or "width" attributes

Hi

Please see: http://www.cocknbullechuca.com/, in particular the six photo boxes titled: Accommodation, Dining, Weddings, Conferencing, Gallery and Check Availability. Following a recent theme update, I noticed on my iPad in landscape mode that the photo boxes were out of alignment. They are okay in portrait mode and seem fine on any other media. At the same time, I noted on the page source code that the alt, height and width attributes were blank. I recently updated the image for Dining and the attributes are present for that one. I believe this is causing the problem on my iPad.

I have deleted the photo boxes and then re-added them but the attributes are still not present.

Is this a glitch in the theme or am I doing something wrong?

Hi,

1. We do not see anything wrong with the alignment of boxes. All looks good even on iPad and there si nothing to be fixed.

2. As we can see, you were doing something with the images. Looks like you were replacing them on server and to get attributes like alt, width and height please use Force Regenerate Thumbnails.

Thanks. I have now done that. However, the problem must be peculiar to my iPad Pro 9.7 then because it is still there!

This need to be related with your iPad then because we tried to re-create issue in few different ways and we didn't found anything wrong.

Hi

This problem is persisting and I have checked with other people who have iPad's and the problem occurs on their devices as well.

Is there any way I can force the population of the alt, height and width attribute fields?

If you view the page source of www.cocknbullechuca.com you will see the attributes are missing from all but one of the photo boxes. I used Force Regenerate Thumbnails but it made no difference.

Did you set these alts under Media section where all images are?

No, not specifically. The alts on other images appear to be the file names.

It's bad because to display alts for images, you need to set alts under Media section.

Sorry, that is difficult to accept when alts are on other images, none of which have had them set individually!

We are sorry to hear that but this is how Wordpress works. If you will switch to default WP theme, you will see that there would be no alts for the images as well. If you don't like how it works, you should send your feedback to Wordpress authors because there is nothing what we can do in this case.

The alt tags might be the same as titles for items because this is an extra functionality that was added by us to only some of Muffin Builder items where it was possible.
