Add to cart icon goes to homepage instead of shopping cart

I installed the herbal demo, and when I click the add to cart button on the menu, rather than going to the shopping cart, it directs to the home page. The same thing happens when you go to the cart page and click proceed to checkout. This problem occurred upon importing the demo out of the box. I have already tried resetting the database completely and importing the demo again with no luck.

did you set SHOP page for WooCommerce plugin?

Yes I did. Even with the shop page set in Woocommerce settings the cart icon still points to the home page
