When sticky menu takes over

I was wondering what function/setting to use to control when the menu turns into a "sticky menu", for example on the eco-demo:http://themes.muffingroup.com/be/eco/ it
takes just a little scrolling down to turn the menu into a "sticky
menu" with green background. How can you make this a little more
scrolling or a little less scrolling? Do you go to a php-file or can you
control the distance in appearance > BeTheme Options?

Thanks.

  • Hi,

all we did is just Sticky option activation under Theme options > Header & Subheader > Header section. This is just how sticky header works.

    Thanks!
  • Yes, of course. But there is a setting/file/css/javascript/jquery or something similar somewhere deciding when the sticky menu will take over from the regular menu.

You could potentially keep the regular menu for a few hundred pixels scrolling down before it turns into the sticky menu or it could turn into the sticky menu as soon as one scrolls down just a little tiny bit from the regular meny, in the same way as you can set the margin, distance between some objects in the css.

Do you feel that you understand what I am trying to achieve here? Basically, I want to be able to control when the sticky menu becomes active (from the regular menu).

    Regards,
  • Sorry but you must misunderstood something because we do not have any script or option to control when sticky menu becomes on scroll. It's happening automatically and we do not control it anywhere.
  • Ok, that is strange. There must be a function/script somewhere saying that when you scroll and the sticky menu option is checked, the regular menu should be turned into a sticky menu. I was playing around with some slides and photos and the result of all this was that you had to scroll further down before the sticky menu showed up.
Do you know where the function is located/what file that makes the sticky menu show up and then I can take a look at it?
  • The function responsible for sticky header is located under js/scripts.js file but like we told you already, we do not change anything inside this function.
  • Ok, thanks
