Mobile Menu icon on old iPad 2s is not working

Lately with Theme Version 15.7 I have an issue with the mobile menu.  
 
When my websites are visited with an older iPad 2, the mobile menu does not open when tapped, hence navigation is not possible.
See the issue with recent sites I have created here:

This problem is not evident with my older sites that use 
Theme Version 14.0.1 or Theme Version 10.7

Please advise how to fix this.

PS. I have no issues with iPad Air 2, iPhones or Android phones.  They work fine.
