Sidebar on archives.php not appearing

Hello friends!

I'm getting beat up by a simple issue. My categories (archive.php) are not showing a sidebar.
I tried referencing it in multiple locations, but nada.

Website is www.simplycabinets.com and the page I am looking at is http://simplycabinets.com/products-page/base-cabinets/

Thank you in advance!

    Hi,

to display sidebars on category pages, you need set up Blog page the way as it has been explained on http://themes.muffingroup.com/betheme/documentation/#blog because category pages are strongly connected with the Blog page. And if you will set such blog page, and you will assign sidebar to this page the way it was explained on http://forum.muffingroup.com/betheme/discussion/10/how-to-create-sidebar-and-set-up-for-page, you will get same sidebar on category pages.
  • I am not on the most up to date version with all of these options and I have edited some files so updating may not be right for me.

I made a blog page and have selected that as the blog. I went to the blog page and chose right sidebar layout. I have also chose my "Right Bar" to be forced on to all pages. No luck.
  • I just updated. I have a few things I have to go back and recorrect now, but I am still having the same issue.
  • Ok, we did checked your site once again and noticed that you are talking about SHOP categories, so to display sidebar on shop category pages, there is few things you need to do first:

    1. Set up SHOP page with sidebar layout
    2. Set up this shop page under Theme options > Blog, Portfolio & Shop > Shop section.
    3. Set up shop page as products page under WooCommerce settings
    4. Put the widgets into Plugin | WooCommerce sidebar under Appearance > Widgets section.
  • 1. Already been done
    2. I'm using WP eCommerce and not WooCommerce

WooCommerce has too modern of a look and drives you towards looking at individual products. Mine needs to be a list with variants.
  • We are sorry but the BeTheme wasn't tested with WP eCommerce unfortunately and that's probably the reason why sidebar does not appear on archives. And to be honest, we don't know what might be the reason exactly but you probably need to look inside files because what you ask for requires files customization for sure.
