Opening a new page, a blank page

Hello,

I'm trying to open a new blank page but I just can't seem to manage.

I would like that the page won't have anything related to the theme so that I could start working on it from scrap and making it my landing page.\\

Hi Mattan,

to create blank page, all you need to do is set Blank Page template under on the right side while editing/creating pages.

Thanks for your reply but I did that before and it didn't work...

here is what happens when I choose A Blank Page template:

It has the theme background and I need a blank white page.

As we can see, this background was set or under Theme options > Global > General section or with custom css under Theme options > Custom CSS & JS > Custom CSS section.

If I change there then it will affect my whole website? I just want to add a simple blank page.

Yes, this would affect whole site and it is not possible to clear this background for individual page only because it's a global setting assigned to html.

The thing is, I would like to make a landing page but I don't need the background. There is really no option to do so? I will need to on a different WordPress installment? This is very bad news

It is possible but you need to remove the background from the section we mentioned above and this is the only way to remove html background from landing page. It's because current background was set globally for ALL pages around site.

But we told you above already, that this background was set or under Theme options > Global > General section or with custom css under Theme options > Custom CSS & JS > Custom CSS section so you need to check where exactly it is and just remove it. That's it.
