Hey I can't seem to get that top bar/image/padding/feature image (w/e it is) to disappear.

Its on every page, here is one page its on though: bradgreen.me

I tried putting this into CSS but still didn't go away.

on which single portfolio page you have featured image? Because we checked few and didn't saw featured image on any.

This is header's background and if you don't use it, you need to do activate Minimalist option under Theme Options > Header & Subheader >Header section.

I have a few more questions. I feel like I'm making what I want to do way more complicated than it is. My overall goal is to have my image flush to the top of the page. Here is the page I'm working on: http://bradgreen.me/portfolio-item/strack-van-til/

1) I'm not sure why the featured image is showing up on the top of the page. How do I get that to go away?

2) Hide the date below the featured image: (DateJanuary 10, 2017)

3) Hide categories

4) Get rid of any padding/margin so my image is flush with the top of the page.

5) I want my images to flow together (look like its one photo) How do I get rid of the top/bottom padding that is automatically added to an image.

I used these codes to hide the header/author btw.

Looks like you want to display just the builder content for portfolio items and to achieve this, all you need to do is select Builder Template under Portfolio Item Options for each portfolio item.

That worked, now is there a way to override the padding on images.

For example. On this page, Its adding the padding/white space around every image. I want the images to look like one image.

To make those images full width, you need to put them into section that has FULL WIDTH style set. More details about section item you can find on http://themes.muffingroup.com/betheme/documentation/#section

That would fix the right and left padding. I attached a jpeg or the padding I'm talking about. Those are two image and theres a white line going right through the middle.

Ok, got it. So to remove this small space between the images, you need to wrap all images into DIV tag and set line-height: 0 style for this div. So it should look like the following:
