Vimeo-Background in Revolution Slider not playing in Firefox

Hi there

I use vimeo-Background in the revolution slider and it works great in all the browsers, except firefox (version 51.0.1 on osX 10.11.6).

Here you find the slider: http://paroslider.com/

Please help me find the issue, as i can't find any articles to the problem on themepunch (revolution slider creator) or anywhere else. I can't open a discussion, because the revolution slider is included in BeTheme.

Thanks for quick help!
Simeon

  • Hi,

Please open your website in Firefox html mode (CTRL+U) and check html errors you got. Please fix them first and all should be fine.

P.S. Anticipating your question, yes, those errors are not associated with theme and were made by you or one of your extra plugins. We also checked your code and it seems that some DIV containers are not closed, maybe that is the issue. Also try to disable adblock if you got it installed.

    Thanks!
  • Hi there,
I see an error from revolution slider:

var errorMessage = "Revolution Slider Error: You have some jquery.js library include that comes after the revolution files js include. This includes make eliminates the revolution slider libraries, and make it not work.
    To fix it you can:

    1. In the Slider Settings -> Troubleshooting set option:  Put JS Includes To Body option to true.
    2. Find the double jquery.js include and remove it.

When i change the slider-settings as they tell me in the error it doesn't change anything. I also can't find a duplicate jquery.js that loads after the revolution slider js.

The other error with not closed DIV-Containers, i can't find. So if you could tell me where you see it, i'd be glad.

  • Try disabling other plugins beside revolution slider and check if the problem persists.
  • Okay, i tried disabling all plugins exept revolution slider, and the problem was still there in firefox.
  • Here you see the page with all other plugins disabled (on our development-server):
  • Maybe you copied some content from an other website and there could have been some divs there. You should check the content pasted in the builder in text mode for any unwanted elements.

We checked on all possible devices and browsers. Here is a screen from macOS with firefox:
