Different sizes for thumbnail and lightbox image

hello, I'd like to know if it's possible to have an fixed size for images on a portfolio grid, for example 750x750px, and have images on the lightbox be their original size. So for example I upload an image that is 1200x850px but only 750x750px of that image is going to be on the portfolio grid, but it will be automatically resized and cropped?

Or better yet, is there a way where I can upload the two images already cropped?
