Portfolio page looks like blog page...

Hi, I love Be Theme !! I only have one issue with the portfolio, when I add a new page, it show like a blog page, it doesn't look like the demo portfolio page, how can I fix that ?

Hi Julie,

this looks like you set 2 different templates for above portfolio items. Under Portfolio Item Options > Layout section, you have Template option where you can set a Builder and all default staff like navigation will go away.

Wow, it works... Thanks ! Another thing, how can I make the text excerpt appear under each book title ? I did an input text in the excerpt section but it doesn't appear, thanks ! [Links visible only for registered users]

Hi ! If I look at the demo page, there is an excert text under each title product, that is what I want for my own portfolio, how can I do that ? I have put some text in the Excerpt space of each product item in portfolio but it won't show... Thanks !

Hi,

To do that please choose a masonry blog style, when editing the portfolio item in the muffin builder.

You also need to make sure that the excerpt field in each portfolio is set.

On my website, I need to have 2 different portfolio (one on a specific page and the second one on another page that is totally different from the first one), how can I do that ? Thanks !

This is not possible, you can have one portfolio. You could make a portfolio with categories and display the portfolio items with specific categories on different pages. Use a muffin builder element or a shortcode to do that.

Hi, I have 2 issues with the blog page:

1) Since I am using the content builder for the post pages, the excerpt wont show anymore on the Blog main page: [Links visible only for registered users] How can I make the excerpt come back like it use to be when I was using the wordpress editor ?

2) On each post page, the featured picture still appears on the top of the page [Links visible only for registered users] but I want that photo to appear only on the main page. How can I delete it ?

Hi,

1. To see the excerpt just scroll all the way down in the post you are editing and there you will find a field called excerpt. If you do not see the field, scroll back top and click the screen options in the top right corner and select the excerpt there for it to appear in the editor.

2. There is only one way but it will also hide the social links on the left. Use this css to do that:

.single .single-photo-wrapper {
	display:none !important;
}

Hi, We have a major issue with the site transfert on the root server, here is a message from my tech:

"I spent hours talking with hostgator

There seems to be a cache problem

Julie can we open a ticket from where you bought the template? There may be running a cache plugin that I cannot find and they may give us a solution."

Hi, there is another email from my tech:

"I have left the folder wp where you originally installed wordpress so that the site can be visible. However the transfer is not done correctly and I don't recommend to leave it like this. This is a temporary solution until we get support from the template maker.

The correct solution is to change the paths everywhere at the database, but if I do that the site breaks.

I am not sure if it is the template fault or the visual composer's fault. I tried editing a page and I couldn't.

The theme also has a security plugin. Maybe this is causing also the problem. Although I disabled it and still got the same errors."

Please explain in more detail what exactly is happening since I know nothing. What errors are you getting while transferring. What plugin are you using to transfer the website.

Ok we found the problem. We have an issue with the URL absolute path, we want to change all the images paths to relative paths, it works for images in Tabs sections, but the pictures that have to be set through Muffin buider won't show with relative paths. Please advice, thanks !
