Content overlapping / not overlapping slider with visual composer

Hi-

You have several layouts that have content boxes that slightly overlap the slider. See example here:

I can seem to get it to work using your "muffin builder" but not with Visual composer as it puts the content behind the slider if I use negative margins; which has always worked in the past.

It seems to work until I change the row stretch feature. It's got us all a bit confused and we're partial to the VC as it's what we use with most clients. Can you kindly weigh in and let us know what is the source of the problem.

Please show me a website you are curently working on and tell me which element should be on the slider.

If you see the white box just below the slider that starts with "Our Focus... that is supposed to lay half on top of the slider element and half over the current row. But it wants to nest behind the slider, as if the slider is covering it up.

Typically I just use negative margins which is working here:
