Even pages with almost no content take over 6 seconds to load

I can't get the pages to load within a reasonable amount of time. 

Look at this page. http://evolutionws.com/contact/ It is a simple page with little content and shouldn't take over 7 seconds. The worst and most noticeable part is how it loads most of the page content first, but then takes 7 seconds before it applies the styles that make it display full width. Had it loaded those first, I don't think it would be that bad. But as it is, it is extremely obvious that the page has to wait 7 seconds before it can display the page properly.  


I have latest version of theme and wordpress. I am using W3 Total Cache. And I used googles speed test to find and optimize all images. Even with all the optimization I did. I still get a low score of 47 on speed test.

    I've been working on it and made it a little faster, but couldn't fix that issue of the page not displaying full width until its fully loaded. Is this by design to have it load the content in a boxed width and then load the styles that make it full width last?

    Hi,
    We really cannot do much here, please : update the plugins and the theme.
    Also disable all plugins and check again, if you have many plugins installed then this will slow the page.
    Use services like tinypng.com to optimze images.

    and what about...

    This looks very bad to have it display boxed width first and then change to full width. Did you look at the link I gave you?

    Hi,
    Our theme and the pre-built website are optimized, we cannot be responsible for what the end user install on his server (scripts,plugins) or how much content he has. The problem with the content stretching is caused by the visial composer. To fix this, go to theme options>global>general and stretch the content width, then go to visual composer and remove the force stretch option.

    I have tried disabling all "plugins and scripts" and optimized the content. I hope you do not think that I am holding you responsible for any of that. I understand that it is my job to make a fast site content/additions to the site. 

    I am trying to get the information needed to remove the delayed stretching of visual composers full width option as it seems to be a theme specific issue. I have worked with many themes using visual composer as their primary builder and never had the issue of the delayed applying of the full with stretch. Your primary builder is the "muffin builder" and I originally that and it is very good, but eventually decided to switch to visual composer builder because it better accomplished the layouts I needed without custom modification. It is also more familiar and in my opinion is easier to use. I assume because visual composer comes as part of the theme and is advertised as compatible, that there would be no problem using it instead. 

    If I did what you suggested, (expand grid in theme options) then it would remove the framed width of pages sections that use framed width. That would make everything full width up to 1920px rather then just fixing the delay full width sections. 

    Is this issue going to happen with anyone who chooses to use visual composer rather then muffin builder to build a page with a full width section? Do I need to rebuild the site using the muffin builder?

    I already told what to do. To fix this, go to theme options>global>general and stretch the
    content width, then go to visual composer and remove the force stretch
    option.
    Make the page full width, the the visual composer will not have to stretch.

    Layout is already set to full width and if you are referring to the "grid width"  I already told you how that is not a valid solution

    That would just be expanding the minimum grid width. Forcing all layouts to display wider. Making the ability to choose between a full width and a grid width section pointless. There are pages in the design that use the normal grid width. 

    Is betheme not able to offer the ability to have both grid with and full width sections when using visual composer to build a page?

    Sorry but there is nothing we can do, this is how visul composer works. We advise to create content in our builder.

    Ok thanks, at least its confirmed that betheme isn't the right choice if I want to use visual composer. There are plenty of other themes I work with daily that don't have this issue.

    I do like your theme, it's one of the best. I just work faster with visual composer then the muffin builder. I'll just have to take the time to rebuild the site with your muffin builder.
