On Be|Xmas2 demo we used new, SIDE SLIDE menu and this one could be set under Theme options > Responsive section. But to display social icons in menu, you need to set social links under Theme options > Social section.

It's not scrolling because you use Nice Scroll feature. If you want to search the content, you need to switch to default scroll under Theme options > Addons & Plugins > Addons section.
