Please go to Theme options > Global > General section and there is an option to set transparency for specific elements. But please notice that we do not have any option to set up transparency for content parts only.

Hi, to remove all data, you need to use Wordpress Reset plugin. But please remember that this plugin removes all data, like: pages, posts, settings, etc. Your Wordpress would be again as clear as after first installation. Thanks!

Above section is the right place for custom css. We checked and css works so please move it into 1st line of Custom CSS section because we are pretty sure you have bugs in that section and that's why any css under the bug place, does not work.
