The problem could be both. Your hosting should help you with that best since this is not the themes fault. They should look at the logs and tell you why the update does not complete.Sorry, but we cannot help with this.thanks

All of the bundled plugins are available in wordpress admin>Betheme>install plugins.You do not need to register the bundled plugins, just the theme.thanks
