Google Analytics
  • I pasted my Google Analytics code in the box in the Theme Options section, but for some reason it is then showing at the very top of each page. I would like to track the pages of my site, but I really don't want the tracking code showing at the top of every page. Is there a way around this?

  • I understand that but when you bring the website up in a browser you see the analytics code at the very top of the page. I can go to any other website and not see the code at the top or for that matter anywhere. So why is it showing at the top of this theme? Go to my site: and you'll see what I mean. When I paste the code in the box in the theme options area it shows at the top of the page. When I take the code out of that box it doesn't show, but then that would mean the site is not being tracked.
  • Thanks, but I think I found another way of doing it. I pasted the Google Analytics javascript code into the head of the header.php file using the editor. My question is this though, what other php files do I need to paste this code in to so I can track all the pages I want or will pasting it in the header.php track all the pages?
  • Post it in the footer.php. I do it with all my wordpress sites using tracking code. Also works for google analytics. More info at
  • Hi muffingroup :)... Just a quick question... If I paste the Google Analytics code in the text box provided, do I have to install Google Analytics plugin on my WordPress site or the code will be just enough? Thanks :)! ...
