Responsive display not working on iPad
  • I am currently building a website and have enabled Responsive in the Display Options of the Theme Options. When I grab the corner of the browser window and decrease its size the website does react, but very late, well after the slider bars on the bottom of the browser appear. When using an iPad the website does not decrease in size relative to the smaller screen, staying the same size as it appears on the desktop, meaning I can't see the whole page without sliding across. The Live Preview of your website on here works fine on my iPad but for some reason mine doesn't react the same way. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Thanks. I used the form yesterday to send you the details. I look forward to your reply.
  • Can you please update me on the progress of the solution? I haven't yet had any response from the contact form request I sent you about this problem over a week ago.
    Thanks.
  • As an update to this. I removed the Theme Forest frame at the top of the Doover theme live preview and discovered that the Doover template itself doesn't display correctly when the iPad is held vertically, creating the exact same problem I have afterall.

    How can this be fixed so it shows the whole page width on the iPad when held vertically? Horizontal scrolling when vertical is frustrating for users.
  • Everyone is encountering the same issue, it has to do with the responsive css of the media codes.

    As of now there's only:

    @media only screen and (min-width: 480px) and (max-width: 767px)
    @media only screen and (max-width: 479px)

    Some other themes have a lot more options; which is why it looks odd on iPads.

  • the solution that i founded was: in responsive.css i changed in line 4:
    @media only screen and (min-width: 480px) and (max-width: 767px)

    767px to 770px.

    Ipad has a 768px in vertical, for this reason dosen´t work on ipad
  • Thank you gvericat!
