Childtheme

  • Hello,
    I've maid a child theme but I can't see the CSS change I maid.
    For exemple, I need to modify the height of the google map in this page :
    http://electroforce.willartedition.net/accueil/

    There is my childtheme css stylesheet :

    /*
    Theme Name: Theme Electroforce
    <br>&nbsp;Author: Aude Willart&nbsp;
    &nbsp;Template: falco&nbsp;
    &nbsp;Version: 1.0.0&nbsp;
    &nbsp;Text Domain: falco-child
    */&nbsp;
    &nbsp;/* Home page */&nbsp;
    div#google-map-area-56387d36dfc51 {
    height: 212px !important;
    }

    And my function.php file :

    <?php
    defined('ABSPATH') or die();
    function my_child_theme_frontend_wp_styles() {
        /* The following line is MANDATORY: it calls main parent theme's CSS stylesheet. */
        wp_enqueue_style('my-child-theme-front-end-style', get_template_directory_uri() . '/style.css', array());
        wp_enqueue_style('my-child-theme-front-end-style', get_template_directory_uri() . 'css/fonts.css', array());
        wp_enqueue_style('my-child-theme-front-end-style', get_template_directory_uri() . 'css/base.css', array());
        wp_enqueue_style('my-child-theme-front-end-style', get_template_directory_uri() . 'css/buttons.css', array());
        wp_enqueue_style('my-child-theme-front-end-style', get_template_directory_uri() . 'css/grid.css', array());
        wp_enqueue_style('my-child-theme-front-end-style', get_template_directory_uri() . 'css/layout.css', array());
        wp_enqueue_style('my-child-theme-front-end-style', get_template_directory_uri() . 'css/variables.css', array());
        wp_enqueue_style('my-child-theme-front-end-style', get_template_directory_uri() . 'css/shortcodes.css', array());
        wp_enqueue_style('my-child-theme-front-end-style', get_template_directory_uri() . 'css/animations.css', array());
        /* Starting from here, you can add any additional CSS stylesheet the front-end of your child theme needs. */
        /* IMPORTANT! Any child theme's additionnal CSS stylesheet MUST NOT ALREADY been called by parent theme. */
    /* Check WordPress Codex (http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/wp_enqueue_style) if not sure how to do this. */
    }

    /* The following line links CSS stylesheets declared above to the site front-end. */
    add_action('wp_enqueue_scripts', 'my_child_theme_frontend_wp_styles');

    Do you see something wrong?

  • Hello, My CSS style in childtheme is ok. I've just problem with the contact box map. I want to modify the height, but the style of the map is inline so I can't do anythink.
    I tried to copy the "theme-shortcodes.php" file in my child theme to modify the height there, but nothing.
    The best would be to add field "height" in "contact box" meta as in the "Map".
    If I modify the "meta-functions.php" file of parent theme in the section "Contact box", adding this :
    array(
    'id' =&gt; 'height',
    'type' =&gt; 'text',
    'title' =&gt; __('Height', 'mfn-opts'),
    'desc' =&gt; 'px',
    'class' =&gt; 'small-text',
    'std' =&gt; 200,
    ),

    It's ok I've got the field.
    Then, I add this in "theme-shortcodes.php" file in the function sc_contact_box :
    extract(shortcode_atts(array(
    'title' =&gt; '',
    'lat' =&gt; '',
    'lng' =&gt; '',
    'zoom' =&gt; 13,
    'height' =&gt; '',
    'uid' =&gt; uniqid(),
    'address' =&gt; '',
    'telephone' =&gt; '',
    'email' =&gt; '',
    'www' =&gt; '',
    'link_title' =&gt; 'About us',
    'link' =&gt; '',
    'link2_title' =&gt; 'Contact page',
    'link2' =&gt; '',
    ), $attr));

    And, at last, I modify the output like that :
    $output .= '<div class="google-map" id="google-map-area-'. $uid .'" style="width:100%; height:'. $height .';">&nbsp;</div>'."\n";

    This liste line doesn't work.
    The height disapear in the page, so the map disappear to.
    But I think I'm not so far ;-)

    The problem is that it works in the parent theme but not in child theme. And if you do an update this will be lost.
    And I need to know why the height disappear in my page.
    There is the link of the page : http://electroforce.willartedition.net/

    Thanks for your help.
    Aude.
