How To Make PAGE on homepage instead of post?
  • So I am having a major issue with my site here. Originally I used "post" to pull my homepage. I installed and setup limuso theme and realized the post homepage looks terrible so i deleted post and created a page for my homepage. When i do this, my only option is calling the URL of my new homepage "/home" and I just want it to read "" without the "/home" url. How can I accomplish this? Right now, the system auto does a 301 redirect for my ROOT domain to the /home url. By the way this has resulted in me losing my rank considerably :(

  • lol I just figured it out, nevermind, THANKS!

For those wondering how to accompplish this:

    • Create your PAGE under pages in wp.
    • Publish as url "/home"
    • Next, go to appearence>themes>customize
    • You can now set static PAGE as the homepage instead of posts.
    • Next go back to your PAGE and edit URL to / or erase the remaining urls

If your last step did not work, you need to add a plugin called custom permalinks, then go to your settings, writing and allow for a CUSTOM URL structure so that you can make your own URLS across the Wordpress System.

    Thanks limuso!
