Visual Composer License Key doesn't work

Anyone knows why in the "BE Theme", when I enter the Visual Composer License Key (Item Purchase Code) I get this error. 

Invalid liense key. Please check information in your envato profile.

Is there a different visual composer key than the product (theme) key?

maybe that's what I need to get the visual composer updated automatically.

I also have this problem. All my VC content has disappeared from my website. Is it because I can't update VC? What a headache!
