Unsharp Pictures & Hover Circle

Hi there,

please have a look at my single-portfolio-item-page. All my images are unsharp. All images are 1024 x 683 Pixel. What could that be?

For my portfolio-page I use MuffinBuilder PortfolioPhoto. By mouseover the word "weiterlesen" is bigger than the circle. Is there a solution to have a bigger circle or something else that it looks good?

Thanks

  • Hi,

    1. Make sure that you use latest theme version (without any extra plugins) and then please upload all images again or use https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/ instead.

    2. This is how it works. Your text is too large for this circle and that's why looks how it looks. For that you must play with below css:
    .portfolio-photo .portfolio-item .portfolio-details .more { height: 90px; width: 120px; }
    .portfolio-photo .portfolio-item .portfolio-details .more h4 { line-height: 88px; }
  • The circle works. Thanks.

I just updatet the theme. (have a backup from the old one)

Totally installed the new version. And I get these message:

Warning: require_once(/homepages/20/d281453786/htdocs/Wordpress (neu)/wp-content/themes/betheme/muffin-options/fields/checkbox/field_checkbox.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /homepages/20/d281453786/htdocs/Wordpress (neu)/wp-content/themes/betheme/muffin-options/options.php on line 207

  • First I had uploaded the plugin, but everything was the same. So I deactivated all plugins, made a backup and delete the whole betheme. After I installed the new version.

Have this error message in portfolio, pages, and also posts.!

    Need help
  • Looks, like your files are incomplete. How did you updated theme? Via FTP (simple overwriting current files with latest from package)? If not, then please update theme this way to be sure that all files are uploaded properly.
  • Hi there,

I uploaded it with ftp. I don't know what was wrong. Anyway. I made all steps again and the muffin options works.

Unsharp images are shown when I use no size. If I use (for example) size="full" everything is sharp. But now there is still another problem too. I got space between the picture. By using grid portfolio.

Could it be possible to have one size? Also for tall or wide pictures?

have a look at my first link I send you. Now you can see space between.
  • Images could be sharp because you setup wrong sizes in "Media Settings" section. More information about that you can read on http://forum.muffingroup.com/betheme/discussion/938/problem-with-image-size-in-shop-slider-media-images-settings-sizes

About spaces, you got them because this is how default gallery looks like. And if you want to get flat style then please add style="flat" for gallery.
  • 1.

    My media settings are:

    Thumbnail size: 300 x 300
    Medium size: 300 x 300
    Large size: 1200 x 1200

I have forced regenerated thumbnails (because it's with the theme) and and regenerate thumbnail plugin.

I don't want a flat style, but with this I have also spaces between the pic. It's because the pics do not have the same size, they are wide or upright. It's really important for me, that the pictures have the same dimensions in a portfolio-item-galery. They should cropped to one image size and I think the problems with the spaces between is away. When they open in the lightbox they can have their normal size.

This is my code I have in the muffin-builder Column item

    [gallery link="file" size="medium" ids="3293,3294,3295,3296,3297,3298,3299,3300,3301,3302,3303,3304,3306,3307,3308"]
  • Maybe you should change sizes then to larger. for example 600x600 instead of 300x300. Images are unsharp because of size you mentioned in shortcode above. Medium size is to small and that's why it looks good when you do not select any size.

About spaces, we are not able to help in this case because images are too small. If you want to use this kind of portfolio style, images must be 1920x800px.
  • So,

this is really anoying me. So I need to find a plugin for a great looking portfolio or gallery.

Maybe I can use Nextgen Gallery, what do you think.

For your next update you should think about to build a super duper gallery.

    ;-)

We did not tested any gallery plugins so we don't know if Nextgen gallery will work. BTW all possible galleries you can see on our demo and except that nothing else can not be done.

BTW The only possible galleries we have you can check on http://themes.muffingroup.com/betheme/pages/gallery or http://themes.muffingroup.com/be/bw/ (black & white images that are close together).

    Thanks for understanding!
  • I think at this galleries there is the same problem that I have to upload the images in the same dimensions. They do not crop for  the same image size.

And this is what I need.
