Default to portfolio category

Hi. I'd like to make my portfolio page default to displaying a particular category. I've used CSS to hide the display of the all category, but I'd like to default to a category called "featured" so that you never see all projects at once.

Please let me know if there's a way that I can accomplish this!

    It would mean the world to me, if we could figure out a way to pass another category name in a custom link to that page, somehow. Let me know if you think of anything!

    Alternately, if there's a way that I can hide items in "all" and only show them when I'm in a specific category, that would also work for my purposes.

    I think that I just figure out a way to do it! It’s a total hack, but... I could put the items that I don’t want to show in the "all" category at the end, and then set the portfolio to only show a certain number of items per page. I'll use CSS to hide the navigation to any other pages beyond the first page! Viola!
