how to use mobile and desktop

Hi i am trying to have 3 banners that when viewed on desktop it is full width but when on phone it is shrunken to be able to see entire banner.  i have tried everything with rev silder and with layerslider but cant figure it out.  also went into the menu options under responsive and it didnt work either

the only way i made it work was using layerslider with the exact 3 banners but making those only visible on desktop and then making exact banners to be viewable only on cell and tablet.  but when viewed on desktop there are long gaps between banner and the next row for example between the first banner on the site and the 3 rows of words.  

any help would be great thanks
