No "read more" button

Hi !

I used the "blog" item in muffin builder.
Actually there is one post on the system. The post has a !--more-- tag.
The read more button setting is: yes !

The article gets shown including the feature image and the excerpt - but at the end of the excerpt no read more button is shown that leads to the full article !
I have even placed the text before the more tag into the excerpt field ... without success ...

If you need login credentials please let me know !
