Page scroll down link

Hi,

I have a drop down menu on my site https://dev.copterworks.com Products, then it has two options, one AF30 is the main product then the Start is a section on that same page that I want the user to click and scroll down the page for more info. This works perfectly when the user in on the https://dev.copterworks.com/products/ page. However, if someone clicks on the Starter link from the Home page, or any other page it does not work. The url becoumes https://dev.copterworks.com/#starter

What am I doing wrong and can I structure this properly?

Thank you

  • Hi,
    do it like this:
Change the #starter to /products#starter this way when you click on it on the main page it will redirect you to the products page and then scroll to #starter
This will cause a problem when you will be on the products page, it will reload the page and then scroll if you click on the starter menu item. To avoid this just create a second menu just for this page, you can set a custom menu when editing the products page, you will find it under the muffin builder.
    thanks
  • Hi,

thank you for the help. I did not understand the 2nd menu part. I am not supper familar with wordpress and my developer is out of town. If I give you access could you do it for me really quick?

    Thank you

  • No sorry, this will be not possible.
Again, create a new menu, this with only the #starter link not the /products#starter
Then edit the page and set this new menu only for this one page.
If you do not know how to do this, you can leave it as it is because it works and wait for your developer to just make it a bit better.
    thanks
