  Update: I tried creating a custom page with a form and thought I'd use that page instead. It works as a regular page, but when I set it as the Under Construction page, the same error occurs again (i.e., arrows keep spinning after hitting the submit button)

  Solved: I uninstalled version 4.8 of CF7 and installed version 4.7 (download here). It works now. Not sure where the conflict lies, but it might be related to one of these two updates in CF7 4.8:

  • Stopped using jquery.form.js.
    
  • Added custom REST API endpoints for Ajax form submissions.
    

  Request: Perhaps the theme code can be optimized to not conflict with CF7 v.4.8? In the meantime, I'll continue using CF7 v.4.7.
