  it all depends on what version of betheme you are using.
  Please update to the newest version and install the plugin via betheme>install plugins.

  I do have the newest BeTheme Version. Don't I?
  

  If yes, how can I update revolutionsslider or visual Composer.

  If no, how can I update to the newest Version of BeTheme. --> No idication or message that I could upgrade...

  Everything is well written and explained on how to update the theme.
  This is all in the documentation I have linked.
  
  And better disable your cache before the update.
