Trouble getting slide boxes transition to work on all sliders

Having trouble setting all slides in one of my sliders to all use slide boxes transition.  On the default tab, I select 'slide boxes' and click the checkbox to set it on all slides.  But after I save it, all my transitions appear to be random. I checked under slideshow tab and random/shuffle is set to off..
