Speed Up Gallery

My Gallery loads very slowly and I think this is because the actual Filesize from the pictures are loaded all the time, even when you see only the thumbnails of them. Is there a way to speed up the page? I couldnt find any options regarding that problem.

Hi,
the only way is to upload smaller images. This could also be the hosting fault.

okay. Can u recommend a filesize for the pictures (good balance between quality and filesize?)

There is no such thing. You need to have the images in jpg format and the resolution should not be above 1920x1080px. If you want to loose the filesize, please go to tinypng.com and optimize the images there.
