So when you first load my site at kylemccall.com as the background image loads in the default color of the background is eggplant purple, how can I change this to red?
I dont see this option under the color section so if you could simply point me to where in the CSS or code this setting is made I would most appreciate it

you probably mean the header background color which you can change in theme options>colors>header.
