  Hey George,
  have you tried selecting another style for the theme in theme options>global>general (simple,classic)?

  What difference could that make ? If I use blockquote then I get the desired quotation mark but pointing the wrong way, i.e. pointing left which is a closing quotation mark not opening. If you look at “Smart quotes from Word” you can see that the opening ones point left, the closing right. Is it possible to have the nice big opening quotation mark used in blockquote pointing the right way ?

  (PS tried altering style but that didn't change anything)
