Delete Author Pages

Hi There, 

For the blog, I really don't want to provide any information regarding authors. I disabled author box from single post and with custom CSS, i set the author filter off with display none, but I would like to know how to remove all pages created for authors such as: http://www.mytower.fr/author/john/ 

In addition, these pages are indexed by Google while they're not part of the sitemap. http://www.mytower.fr/sitemap_index.xml
