I got following results, but I´m not sure if this is solving the problem:
favicon.ico is available in the root of your web site There is an icon for classic browsers favicon.ico is present
favicon.ico is missing some icons of recommended sizes (16x16, 32x32, 48x48)favicon.ico is missing some icons of recommended sizes (48x48)favicon.ico does not contain the highest resolution icon (48x48)
You must go to your FTP and remove the favicon at the root, like it says in the message. And the .ico file have wrong size, pleas reupload them. I am just reading the message you posted, adding nothing new.
oldworldbrick Sorry but that makes no sense, either you have some weird cache issue or there is something worng with your thee installation. The favicoin URL is set in theme options and is held in the database so updating the theme will not change that.
Comments
please make sure that the favicon you add has a .ico file extension. Also delete browser cache, it may hold the old icon.
thanks
Please go to this page and check your favicon:
