Layer Slider PHP 7.2 Extension conflict

We recently updated to PHP 7.2, on several sites Layer Slider stopped working and the follow error started to appear in all the affected sites error logs

"[29-Dec-2017 14:19:09 UTC] PHP Warning:  Narrowing occurred during type inference. Please file a bug report on bugs.php.net in /home/tiftonwtmarketin/public_html/wp-content/plugins/LayerSlider/layerslider.php on line 64"

Any idea how to procede or do we need to contact Layer Slider directly?
