Category filter not working for all posts

Hi
I have added the 'Blog' item in order to display my various blogposts. It should be possible to filter them by category. However, this somehow only works for some categories - for most categories, no result is displayed. 
So far, I couldn't figure out, why some of them are shown and others are not. Unfiltered, all posts seem to be listed. 

The page with the category filter is: http://traveldiary.ch/stories/

Categories that for example work are:
Sweden, Stockholm, Spain, Madrid, Switzerland, Iceland, Europe

Do you have an idea what the problem could be?

    Sorry, my bad - I just figured out that the filter only works for the posts that are actually displayed on the page - and that was limited to 12.  When displaying all 125 posts, this works fine - although the lists gets quite long in this case. I guess there is no other way to do this, right?

    sorry but there is no other way, you need to set the number high or the jQuery filtering will not work correctly.
