I want to display woocommerce categories on shop

I want to pick a demo that is not a shop one. I want to install the woocommerce demo data and display the categories on top of page. It does not seem to work

what exactly do you mean by "display categories on top of page".
Please give some links and screenshots.

I had some kind of cache issue. I had done that change and it didn't work. Then I cleared some things and it did.
Now my problem seems to be that the categories and products show on the same line.
Category, Category, Product

To overcome, I used visual composer. I set the shop to one page, created a redirect to the other one. Otherwise layout was messed

We would have to see a link to this 'messed up' layout so we can check the code.

As you see the categories do not show.

Please first update the theme to the newest version, there was an issue with this but it was fixed.
