adding header.php

Hi, can you tell me the process this new header.php on my child theme.
Since the header.php has some code i do not want to erase during the update of betheme.
please elaborate the process with screenshot or steps. Thanks in advance

Hi,
if you want to use the header.php in your child theme then just copy and paste the file from the parent theme to the child theme and modify it to your needs. The update will not touch the files in the child theme.

so it is just copy-paste right no css linking stuffs

If you want to use the main theme folder files like page.php or header.php then you just copy/paste but for files like functions/theme-shortcodes.php you need to edit the functions.php file in the child theme and require_once() those files, there is a commented out section of text at the end of the file, screen:
