How to reduce number of different image sizes created.

Hello,

I have to upload many images to my website and I compress
each image before uploading it to 3 different sizes corresponding to my
settings in Wordpress.

But BeTheme also generates several image sizes. Is there a way to prevent this? I just want to have 3 different image sizes.

(Problem is that my website is growing to fast in size. I need to keep this in check.)

Hi,
Sorry but what you are reffering to is a wordpress default function which creates other image sizes from the original photo, this is not theme related.

Are you sure, because in settings > media you can define the image sizes created, no?

So, BeTheme isn't creating any additional image sizes?

It does not matter, the point is that you cannot controll this unless you know how to modify the theme files and wordpress files. We do not support such changes.

And such changes of wordpress files would make no sense since they'll be overwritten with each update, right?

Actually no. And though I upload only compressed images (max 200 kb) my page is still growing like a yeast bun if you know what I mean
