custom page css not working

hello,
i have an issue i can't get my head around:
at the page https://sviluppo.envi.it/fabio-gavazzi-fall-winter-2018/ i'm trying to build this design with the images https://imgur.com/a/O3p2lGq
i've managed overlap the images on the corner using the "move up" option in the wraps. now i'm trying to make the images overlap in the same order as the mockup: so for the red fur the image on the top left above all the others and for the yellow fur the one in the middle to be above.
i've created some css classes with different z-index in the custom css section of the muffin builder and referred to them in both in the image items and wraps but it doesn't seem to work.

i can give you the admin credentials if you need those, just tell me where to write them to you
