content-post.php not working with child theme

Hello Muffin Group!

I just wanted to inform you that content-post.php is probably not working with child theme.

It won't update the changes i am making in child/includes/content-post.php , but if i make the changes in parent theme it works fine.

Any idea how to fix this?

(I am using the Classic Blog Layout)

Hi,

you need to get the function from content-post.php file and put it into functions.php file and everything would be fine.

Hi,

i add post types (events manager too) in content-posts.php like this:

$args = array( 'post_type' => array('post','custom1',EM_POST_TYPE_EVENT,),'posts_per_page' => -1);

$query = new WP_Query( $args );

and change the path in function.php:

require_once( CHILD_THEME_DIR .'/../includes/content-post.php' );

and it seems working with jquery filters

if it can help...

it's a very great theme!
