Responsiveness - How to customize mobile view.

I am working on a website that looks pretty good in regular computer size screens but when reduced to a phone view - it doesn't hold up very well - how do I modify the way images and text hold up in mobile/tablet sizes with out affecting the scaling of the computer view. I am using MuffinGroup layout. site is lcms.davidediger.com/

banner graphics of pets off-set and are not centred well.
