Blog | Category sidebar widget

Hi,
I have several posts with different categories. And I need to use the sidebar Blog | Category so that they show different elements according to the Category.
In Options> Sidebars I used the option to force the right sidebar, but when I published it, it did not show me the sidebar corresponding to the category, instead it appeared "Add one or use Full Width layout"

Hi,

1) Did you create sidebar in Theme Options > Sidebars

2) Did you inserted the name of the sidebar while forcing it on page?

Hi, Pablo

Yes, I have created sidebars in Theme Options but to use in pages.
No, I dont use the option to force sidebar for all pages or posts.

So:
I need different sidebars for different pages (created in Theme Options).
I need the Blog | Category sidebar for all the posts that I already have created (and there are many to open one by one)

Hi,

you need to have:

1. Blog categories created

2. Posts assigned to the categories

3. Go to appaerance>widgets and populate the newely created sidebards with the category names (they will create automaticaly)

4. Save and reload the page, the sidebars should be working fine.

Sorry but it doesn’t work:

1. I have a post assigned to the category Novedades

2. In Widgets I have the sidebar Blog | Novedades with two elements

3. When opening the post, the sidebar does not appear.

I'm missing something to do?

Please set your blog page correctly:

Also please disabel all plugins and then check if the sidebars appear correctly. You will find the sidebar layout options in theme options>sidebars.
