Parallax not working

Hi there,

I am having a problem with the parallax effect on the homepage of this site:

https://www.ibogajourney.ca/

There are two parallax images on the homepage. We are having trouble with them jumping around both on mobile and desktop. I think it may have something to do with the speed of the parallax effect, but I'm not sure. do you have any advice on how to make the parallax effect smooth for scrolling down the page?

Hi,

Change the Parallax plugin.

You can change it in Theme Options > Addons & Pluins > Addons.

Test all of them and select the one which will work.

Thank you! I tried all of the plugins for Parallax, but it is still jumping when I scroll down the screen and it's not smooth. None of the plugins worked. Any other ideas?

Please, disable all of the plugins, clear cache

and again go to Theme Options > Addons & Pluins > Addons

Change the scrol plugin to default scroll plugin.

Then, check if it's work fine.

Hi there,

Thank you for this.

I'm not sure how to disable all of the plugins. I did clear the cache a few times, I changed the scroll plugin to one of the other ones and then changed it back to default, but that didn't work.

Any other ideas?

We have tested it and with the current settings it works best. It will ocassionally stutter but it has to do with the memory that the browser uses. You also did not optimize any images, they are 2 or even 3mb bacgrounds and images which makes a big impact in the load time and also in the browser speed.

Hi there,

Just to follow up, now the parallax effect is not working on mobile at all. Not sure what changes you made but we're not able to fix it and the client is very upset. Parallax is enabled on settings for mobile. Please help.

Parallax will not work on most of the mobile devices these days. We have only change the parallax plugin in theme options>addons&plugins>addons. You can change it to other and check if it will work on mobile devices. Also explain to your client that the parallax feature will not work on most of the devices because it takes up too much memory and uses too much of the computing power thus using more power.
