Can't update Visual Composer

I've tried automatically updating Visual Composer from the plugins page, and plugin failed with:

Downloading update from http://api.muffingroup.com/plugins/download.php?code=&plugin=js_composer…

Unpacking the update…

Installing the latest version…

The package could not be installed. The package contains no files.

Plugin update failed.

I also tried updating to the latest Betheme, deleting Visual Composer and installing again. I get the same error and then I can't activate the plugin because it says 'update required'.

I have a registered license for Betheme so I don't think that's the issue.

Please advise. Thank you!

this message could mean that your license key is used on more than one domain.

I have the same problem. In the tool everything license is ok.

What can I do?

Everytime, if I click on UPDATE, there is this notification:

License is not activated.

Please deregister your betheme and register it again then try again.

Also, disable all of the plugins before updating plugins.

Hey,

after we disabled all of your plugins we were able to run the update, but still it was not succesful.

You get this error:

Download fehlgeschlagen. cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 300000 milliseconds with 2114497 bytes received

This means that your hosting either does not have cURL installed at all or it is badly configured. Please contact your hosting provder.

curl is installed and ok. Maybe, your server denied the curl (question) for the update?

Is the key ok with domain name?

How can I download the updates manual? In the package, there aren`t any fils for rs and vc...

Bundled plugins are available to download only through BeTheme.
There is no other option to download it.

This CURL issue is hosting related issue, and we cannot do a lot about it.
You have to talk with your hosting provider.

I talked to my provider but he can do nothing. cURL is ok. It`s the same cURL-version like on other projects by this provider.
Do you can generate a new license key? Maybe the key is wrong. I have buy more license (BETHeme)
First, the license key was on two projects, maybe is there a mistake...

If I try to update the RS the message is: timeout cURL

BUT

If I try to update the VC the message is: License is not activated.

You can see that this issue is about connection timeout and the problem is not theme related. It is all about the hosting provider. He should already recongnize and amend this issue by looking at the error message.

This is not a new issue, a lot of users have this problem and it always gets fixed with the help on the hosting provider. We assure that the problem is not on our side.

After second contact with my provider:

If I use the url http://api.muffingroup.com/plugins/download.php?code=xxxx&plugin=revslider in my browser there is an 200 but the window is white. Nothing happend. How can I debug the page or the api?

This is the tip from hosting provider. He can`t see any bad things...

Is the file (RS and VC) chance by you or can I use another version from themeforest - not bundled version?

By the way

on page "Check my license", there is an notification behind the project "EXPIRED" for support. Means this END for support or the ENDS for update for plugins?

The support only expires on the forum, for the theme and there is no notification anywhere about that. The theme & plugins updates are lifetime for each license so you do not have to worry.

The message probably appears from some plugin so please do not worry about it.

If your hosting provider cannot handle with this issue we cannot really help as it is not a theme issue. We suggest maybe changing the hosting provider or testing on anothr hosting first.
