Problem with [code] shortcode.

  Hi,
  
  code items do not parse any code at all if all p or br tags won't be parsed as well.

  I don't get it, why [code] tag is working when using it in page but not in post ?
  example:
  public void doSomething() {
     something;
  }
  
  comes out like:
  <p>
  public void doSomething() { <br>
     something;<br>
  }<br>
  <p>
  
  So why there is code tag at all if it doesn't parse code? I think the problem is that it accidentally takes HTML tags also.. As I said before, it works perfectly when used in page, but when used in separate post it shows HTML tags.

  CODE item is only for presenting code. This item is not parsing code at all. And btw, you can't use any php functions because they won't be parsed. PHP code can be used only inside files.

  well I wanted to use code item to present the code in blog post.. but it additionally it adds <br> and <p> tags to the presented code... Sorry for my bad english.
  Is there any way how I can present piece of code nicely? I could just write it in plain text, but I was looking to make it look nice..

  So unfortunately there is no other way to do this. Probably you must use plain text instead.
