Hi,

I have certain codes added to the theme functions.php but every time i update the theme it gets wiped.

Hi,

You have to use the Child Theme of BeTheme to prevent wiping out the custom codes.

I have uploaded the Betheme Child theme. Should I activate it or just add the code into it without activating it?

You have to activate it and paste the changes into the functions.php of the Child Theme.
